I Want a Millionaire to Buy Me This is a free joke website run by JTS. Here is everything it keeps, and why.
What you post is public, except your email
A wish's name, picture, price, note, links and the name you give (or "Anonymous") are shown to everyone. Your email, if you give one, is never shown on the site. It is used only to send you your wish's secret link and to pass on notes people send you through "Message them".
Pictures are re-saved when you upload them, which removes the hidden data phones put in photos, including where the photo was taken.
We never ask for your address, a card or a phone number
"Buy it for them" sends a buyer to your Amazon wish list. Amazon, not us, keeps your address and takes their card; a buyer sees only your first name and city. Amazon's own privacy notice covers what happens there.
Notes sent through "Message them"
When you send a note, we email it to the person who listed the wish, with your email address so they can reply. We keep a copy of the note for 30 days, so that if it is reported we can look at it, and then delete it.
Internet addresses
To stop abuse (too many posts or notes from one place, and bans), we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address, never the address itself. Counts used for limits are deleted after two days.
Cookies
One cookie, which makes the forms work and stops other sites posting through them. No tracking cookies of our own.
Deleting things
Your wish's secret link deletes it for good, with its picture and any notes. Reported wishes may be hidden or deleted by us. We don't sell anything about anyone, and we don't send marketing email.
Age
This site is for people 18 and over.
Questions, or something to take down
Use the Report button on the wish. Every report is read. If it's your own wish and you've lost its secret link, report it, pick "Something else" and say so, and we'll take it down.
